Welcome back!

I can't believe it's 2018 🎆 already!  I hope your Christmas break was as wonderful and relaxing as mine was.  I am truly excited to see all of my students back in school from Christmas break. I am ready to get down to business in this last half of the school year! We have a lot to accomplish before the school year ends. Let's soak up all the learning we can and hopefully, very soon, a little sun too! 😎🌻

New School Year 2017/2018

Ms. Pierce and I are super excited to be team teaching together this year.
Now that we are a couple of weeks into school, hopefully you all have explored the website and can stay up to date with the latest news in class. You will find worksheets, spelling words, vocabulary words, frequently used links, among other useful information.
We hope that you find our website useful as it is not required by the district to have or maintain a personal website. We have developed this website as a means of having access to homework assignments should your child forget their work at school, study material, and other helpful information. Please be aware that things are subject to change. Please feel free to contact Ms. Pierce or myself with any questions or concerns that you may have.

Christmas Scavenger Hunt

Today the students enjoyed playing a Christmas Scavenger Hunt. They had to hunt all over the classroom and find facts about Christmas. The students were engaged and excited to learn about Christmas and find all of the cards that were hidden.

Apologize

I am truly sorry for not updating the website this week but I have had a death in my family and I just returned to school Tuesday. If you have any questions please feel free to email me and I will get back with you as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Veterans Day

We enjoyed getting to learn about Veterans Day, the importance of our countries flag, and what it truly means to be an American. A huge thanks to Mr. Jeremy Mayfield for coming out and talking to us about Veterans Day! We thank you for your time and service to our country.

Breakout!

Students had to band together and Breakout! The students were given a 45 minute window to solve multiple math problems that would lead to clues to open the locks on the Breakout box. Students worked together and learned the role of leadership and learned to work as a team. All students worked diligently and together to solve each and every problem. The students did not make the 45 minute time limit but they were able to break out 5 minutes after the timer went off. I would call this a success!
