Christmas Scavenger Hunt

Today the students enjoyed playing a Christmas Scavenger Hunt. They had to hunt all over the classroom and find facts about Christmas. The students were engaged and excited to learn about Christmas and find all of the cards that were hidden.

Veterans Day

We enjoyed getting to learn about Veterans Day, the importance of our countries flag, and what it truly means to be an American. A huge thanks to Mr. Jeremy Mayfield for coming out and talking to us about Veterans Day! We thank you for your time and service to our country. 

Breakout!

Students had to band together and Breakout! The students were given a 45 minute window to solve multiple math problems that would lead to clues to open the locks on the Breakout box. Students worked together and learned the role of leadership and learned to work as a team. All students worked diligently and together to solve each and every problem. The students did not make the 45 minute time limit but they were able to break out 5 minutes after the timer went off. I would call this a success!

Welcome

   I am looking forward to the upcoming 2016/2017 school year. I am excited to be your child's new teacher. This website will help to keep you updated on what we are doing in class. You will find classwork that we are doing as well as student work that is being published. I hope you enjoy following along with us this year. Congratulations to the two new Book Trailer Winners! They are group 3 from the morning class and Group 4 from the afternoon class. Congratulations on all your hard work and for being placed in the running for Ultimate Book Trailer of the year! you can view the Book Trailers under the Student Blogger Tab.

Storybird

This month students are becoming authors through StoryBird. They are all writing stories that will be published and you will have an opportunity to purchase a hard or soft cover. Just visit the link and search for your child's story. You can view the link under the website tab. When you log in as a parent you will use the parent code: 4YFYV (morning class), 3ZETC (Afternoon class).
